Maintena (“we,” “our,” “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your data. This policy explains how we handle information collected through the Maintena software and related services.

  1. User Data: Names, roles, and login credentials for crew and office staff.
  2. Operational Data: Component lists, maintenance tasks, logbook entries, procurement records.
  3. Device Info: Basic system information (OS version, device ID) for license validation.

  1. All onboard data is stored locally in an encrypted database (AES-256).
  2. If cloud sync is enabled, data is transmitted over secure TLS 1.3 connections and stored on AWS servers with restricted access.

  1. To provide the planned maintenance system features (job scheduling, document tracking, etc.).
  2. To synchronize data between vessel and shore teams when enabled.
  3. To improve the software by analyzing anonymized usage patterns (no personal crew details).

  1. Only authorized users (crew, officers, superintendents) based on role-based access control.
  2. We do not share your data with third parties unless required by law or explicitly requested by you.

  1. You own your operational data.
  2. You may extract your data, request data export, or deletion by contacting us.
  3. If you disable cloud sync, no data leaves your local computer.

  1. Local data remains on your device until deleted (logout).
  2. Cloud data is retained as long as you maintain an active subscription and will be permanently deleted 90 days after cancellation.

  1. Local encryption for all onboard records.
  2. Secure authentication for cloud sync.
  3. Regular security updates following ISO 27001 and OWASP best practices.

We may update this Privacy Policy when necessary. The latest version will always be available with the Software or on our website.
